Philosophy Of Teaching

My lessons are fun, engaging and goal-oriented. Above all, I love to encourage, motivate and inspire my students, and to help them build skills and a life-long love for music.

My perspective on music is holistic. Striving towards excellence and the parallel development of creativity and authenticity go hand in hand and complement each other. In my teaching I use a wide range of methods, approaches and strategies, drawing from a multitude of sources. These include Suzuki, Orff and Dalcroze. The curriculum is highly personalized and my teaching is centred around the student’s strengths, needs and interests. My lessons are fun, engaging and goal-oriented. Above all, I love to encourage, motivate and inspire my students, and to help them build skills and a life-long love for music.
