John Force has brought music back into my life.
"John Force has brought music back into my life. His patient tutelage, sprinkled with humour and fun is just the right combination. He understands the needs of different age groups and he is able to adjust his approach to meet my needs. I highly recommend John and Neighbour Note to any one, young or old who wishes to explore the miracle of music. And to have some fun doing it."

He has an engaging rapport with children.
"I can highly recommend John Force as a gutar teacher. He has an engaging rapport with children. He teaches well and quickly responds to the individual needs of my son. I was very impressed with the knowledge and ability and hard work that he put into the creation of a band from several of his students. Again, I can’t recommend John more highly. He is fantastic."

I can always count on leaving the lesson with a smile on my face...
"I have been taking guitar lessons with John for the past few years in my Bloor West Village home. Not having to travel to a studio for guitar lessons simplifies my life and saves me a great deal of time. I have extensive classical piano training but my goal in learning the guitar is to be able to play rock/folk/pop songs while singing along with my guitar. Over the time that I have been with John, my guitar skills have improved significantly. He uses an approach where he encourages learning the original guitar playing of the “star” who has made the song famous. Once you accomplish this level of playing, not only are you able to play the song well with improved guitar skills, but you also feel proud of your accomplishment! John is a very supportive teacher and is always encouraging. I can always count on leaving the lesson with a smile on my face and with some of my stress and worries about work left behind."

John has an incredible ability to relate to kids...
"Wow! My eight year old son just completed his first year of guitar lessons with John and absolutely loved it! He learned so much, and had a blast. John taught him to read music, play chords, and jam to AC/DC. John has an incredible ability to relate to kids, and our home would come alive Friday evenings with music and fun. John really impressed me when he got our son to form a “rock band” with a couple of his other students in High Park. He let “the band” borrow his electric and bass guitars and taught them how to play together. I was blown away at the spring recital when they pulled off a great version of a Black Eyed Peas song. Thanks for a great year of guitar lessons John…you ROCK!"

… children can find it hard to persevere, but you know how to make it lots of fun.
"Thank you, John, for teaching in a way that is always encouraging. Music is tough, and children can find it hard to persevere, but you know how to make it lots of fun. I especially appreciate you encouraging my daughter to write her own music, and how you generously spend your extra time arranging music for popular songs she likes."

John is a wonderful teacher and I highly recommend him!
"My daughter had been asking to play guitar since she was two. When she was three and a half I starting asking for recommendations. Luckily John was suggested and promised to give us an honest assessment as to whether or not Isabella was ready for lessons. This will be her eight year studying with John who always manages to teach her so much while making it fun and keeping her interested. John is a wonderful teacher and I highly recommend him!"
